Help.. I'm way past the age of break-outs (60+) and my skin is all broken out like a teenager. The only change I made was using Skinn microdermabrsaion with that liquid that comes in a blue bottle. I've stopped using that and now I need to know anything that might help. Thanks

So you never had issues with breakouts before using the Skinn product? How long has it been since you stopped using it? You might just need to give your skin time to get back to normal if it was the Skinn product that caused it. If the breakouts continue, before trying a bunch of topical stuff that could exacerbate it more, you might want to see your doctor and see if something else is going on.

I personally would just let it heal up. Give it a reasonable time before assuming something else is wrong, I bet its the Skinn.

It's probably from the Skinn. Which of those specifically I'm not sure, it could be either or both. I wouldn't use them again if it was me.

If you are inflamed, take Aleve or other anti inflammatory if you are able to do so. Gently apply salt water/saline to areas needing attention. I have also used Caladryl, both clear and pink, on any rashes on my facial skin caused by products without adverse reaction while healing rash. Both salt and Caladryl are drying, but you shouldn't need to use often before you are healed. I know it is uncomfortable, but it will go soon.

Let it clear and don't use that product again.

I had what I thought was a breakout years ago from Olay but it was more of a rash than a breakout (it looked like zits). My derm had me switch to Neutrogena soap (clear yellow bar soap), domeboro (a powder or tablet dissolved in water to sooth the skin) and cortisone cream. I still keep domeboro in my medicine cabinet because it is so versatile. It is sold over the counter in drug stores. I would get the powder so you can add a tiny bit to warm water and dip cotton in it and pat your face with it. Check your local pharmacist if you need verification on this. I checked and Walgreens and CVS sell it. Here is what the ad says...

Speaking about breakouts!! I have some very strange patches of small clusters of red dots on my legs and arms... I am seeing my Derma Dr tomorrow to find out...
Just to add. I use only sensitive skin products on my face and body...
My detergents are also free and clear... No itching issues...
Change my towels often...
Am a bit nervous hoping it's not serious... Using Aveeno skin relief ointment... The Derma Dr gave some samples last visit for a couple of skin issues my husband and I had...
My husband had a similar and it seemed to be clearing up.. Just want to make sure mine is the same...
Unfortunitely he never told him what it is??

I wonder if it was the peppermint oil in the dermapeel.
I would use your favorite wash and lotion/cream, then dot the zits with a cortizone cream, I like the ointment it penitraits the skin better. I do this any time I feel a bump under my skin coming on, for a day or 2 and they are gone. As nasty as the stuff is, it is a great healer. Use sparingly, only on the bumps (or rash area).
I am sorry this has happened to you.

Bunk, same thing happened to me. If you don't have Pro-activ and can't get it quickly from a mall, get the Acne-Free kit dupe at the drug-store. My skin is finally just about where it was before I used the Dermapeel, Tea-tree cleanser and his lifting kit. Never again, you wouldn't believe how much I laid out to find out what my face was exploding from, and ShopHQ hasn't done a thing about it, despite assurances by phone.
