Differin has made a real difference in my skin. Originally prescribed for acne, it has been used overlabel for wrinkles, etc for years. It is now over the counter and cheap. You can get it at Target, Walgreens, etc. It is about $11 for 1/2 ounce or $26 for 1.5 oz. That is cheaper than Olay. I wish I had used it years ago, it would have saved me a lot of money on beauty products.

What exactly does Differin do for your skin.

My skin is brighter overall plus I noticed that my skin seems firmer. I do believe it has stimulated collagen growth. My fine lines lessened. I do not have deep wrinkles so I cannot tell if they would be helped. My dark circles are much lighter.

@mistyada I’ve looked at reviews, and some people had various problems using Differin - dryness, breakouts, etc. How have you successfully used it?

i have some minor acne and sensitive skin before using differin. It has controlled it. I just use a small amount every night followed by a moisturer or argan oil on areas that need it. A small tube lasts me about 3 months. If an area gets flaky, I just use a washcloth in the morning to remove the flakes. I found that only my nose to chin areas got flakey at first. Now they do not get flakey. I have been using differin for over a year. But any retinoid product can cause purging or dryness at first. I even use it under my eyes. But you need only a tiny bit. Overusing it is a the problem. It is powerful.
