Even though I use BE and have used department store make-up brands for decades I still have to use drugstore brands of mascara. The "better" brands are usually too moist and make me feel as though my lashes stick together. Makes me feel like I'm always losing a contact and can't let that happen!

I get best results with Maybelline Great Lash and more recently Volum. Regular not waterproof.

Something I do to get out clumps, prevent smudges and separate lashes is take a clean unused mascara applicator and just comb your lashes a little bit after applying the product. Perfect lashes!

I used Lancôme before I found BE and they have applicators for sampling at their counter but I imagine if you clean an applicator from a tube of mascara you won't be needing that will work fine. You just want to keep it pretty dry and clean of product.

There are a lot of drugstore mascaras that I like.

I am currently using Revlon Grow Luscious and really like it.

I am very particular about the wands on the mascara I use and will only use the old-fashioned spooly kind of wands. I detest any mascaras with those plastic bristled wands.

Believe it or not, I am currently liking Maybelline Great Lash--I think it's called Lots o Lashes--the one with the heart shaped brush. It works well on my lashes, doesn't irritate my eyes and removes easily (I never use waterproof). Love the brownish black color.

I tried Jordana and I found it was hard to remove. Left black smears under my eyes even after I used cold cream.

Was using Cover Girl Professional and I liked it but my eyes stung after a few hours.

Used a Rimmel mascara this morning (yellow cap) and was not impressed. I'm always on the lookout for a good drugstore mascara.

Diva--I feel the same way about the wand--I actually feel that I CAN'T use most of the newer wands b/c they seem to hurt my eyelashes when I use them.:/
