I used to look forward to Chaz's shows on QVC, but now I find that I just record them and fast forward. It's the same thing every time. Same people, same demos, same hairstyles, same banter. I can see where it would be good for the first time users, but it just bores me. I would love to see him actually style some hair and give tips while he's talking about the products.

For instance, I love Joy's hair, but it's styled exactly the same way every time. Perhaps he could show different ways that she could wear her hair while he's talking about how great the products are.

Does anyone else find that they can't sit through it anymore?

I tend to multi-task, watch something else and switch periodically.

I got this way with BE shows and kits....It does seem like these shows are for first time (or relatively) buyers. I can remember people complaining that all BE kits came with brushes and those of us who had been using the product for a while were up to our ears in brushes, but for a first time buyer, you need the complete kit to get started.

I use Wen tea tree and also some Nick Chavez products...love them both but I agree that the Wen shows are a big yawn for the most part and Chaz is always subdued. Nick Chavez on the other hand is very entertaining with his presentations. I think most beauty oriented programs are boring...not a lot they can say or do to excite the viewer. QVC seems to have too much of one line on so much that it does become a big yawn as you point out.

"I would love to see him actually style some hair and give tips while he's talking about the products".

This will never happen as the hosts don't let him talk! That's why he talks so fast, to get in a word edgewise. I am always amazed when I watch Shophq. First, the host completely steps down and the vendor is able to talk sans interruption. Secondly, no kissy kissy hello or goodbye. I suspect they are told not to touch one another as they always just stand there, hands by their sides and say hello. So very refreshing.

And yes, I record and fast forward the shows. Or I will be on the internet and have the show on in the background.

I have been doing more recording of the beauty shows in general instead of watching them live. I find ALL the beauty shows are getting very old but I really enjoyed them when I first started watching because all the information was new to me. So I don't blame QVC for the same spiel because it does help the newbies learn. They only have a short amount of time so they can't cover the basics AND do new stuff so I think they focus on the basics for those people that aren't familar with the products, which makes sense but then bores us that have heard it a million times already.

So now I just fast forward through all the basics and the demos of the products I already know about and, in terms of wen, stop to actually watch it when they show the puppies, lol or demo a new scent/product.

I agree with Happy Daze that the presentations are mostly Wen 101 so they can cover the basics for the newbies. But, I still pick up new nuggets here and there. Smile

I've rarely sat though any show on QVC. I sat through one two-hour WEN show to see the demos he's started doing more recently, but that's it.

I mean, it's hair. I don't know what you're expecting.

I usually multi-task. I'm either chatting away on here or doing stuff around my house. I usually pay attention if there is a new product or a demo.

Most qvc demos (not just the beauty ones) really are the same thing. Q has a formula they use and they are sticking with it because it's makes them money.

Hear you about information for new people, but Chaz can explain WEN, and I do wish they would just let him talk!

I wish he would show the models with a different hair style to, they always look the same, not that don't wish my hair looked that good but I wish he would change up the styles every once in awhile to.
