So tired of wanting a real descriptive specific tutorial and seeing shorts! There's just no info given! No links, you have to hunt for the products used. I wish there was YouTube for ppl like me WHO HAVE PATIENCE enough to watch an entire full length tutorial and let ppl who have the attention span of a gnat use another platform. 😡

I find plenty of full length videos on YT.  The shorts that I see are just a few.  I don't usually watch shorts so maybe thats why I'm not seeing that many.

@Midmod , I have found that the youtubers post links to the items used down above where the comments start.  They want to do that because if you click on the link to purchase that is money to them.

Shorts have the @creators name, touch & get taken to their YouTube site, most have full videos available. The YouTube creators I watch do Shorts to promote their full length videos...it's a great way to get new subscribers.  Products can be found in Comments & under the video title using the more link.

@Midmod

I'm sorry to hear your frustration and understand wanting more info on products.

I like to research and always look for multiple sources. Kind of a consensus of opinions, good, bad or indifferent.

I've been satisfied by using Google.  Typing in the item,  or product or topic, I add "reviews" in the search bar. In addition to multiple written reviews, which I find extremely helpful, there are often links to utube  reviews as well. All of which I  utilize.

When going to utube itself, I also include "reviews" along with the specific item or topic I'm interested in. I don't know if you've tried either of these types of searches but they're very successful for me and full length results do load. I rarely if ever look at shorts for the same reason you mention. Not enough info.

I don't know what you're specifically looking for but if Nordstroms carries it their reviews are often very comprehensive and objective as well. HTH.

@Midmod  I have noticed that youtube beauty shorts tend to cut off too soon or they don't list the makeup products.  I get even more frustrated by the cooking youtube shorts that don't list ingredients and cut off before the dish is even finished 😅.

@rochelleS   Your post in very instructive on how to use a "search" engine to ge the results you want.

FWIW..........

"Searching" is different and/or has different results depending on the device/iOS/OS you are using.

In my experience, you get more results on tablets, iPads & computetrs (laptops/notebooks/desktops) than you would on a cell phone.  You end up scrolling till the Fountain Of Youth is discovered.

I use a computer.  When on Youtube I see no more than 3 shorts which I NEVER click on.  Once I click on a link I want to view, the shorts all vanish when I return to the main page.

"Never argue with a fool. Onlookers may not be able to tell the difference."

@Mz iMac

Thank you. 😊

I use my cell phone exclusively and fortunately have no issues with shorts loading in my searches. It's also very  good to know and Thank You for sharing, that optimum results with various devices can be achieved.

Not being very 'techy,' I truly appreciate any and all tips.
