Hi all, Well I took a chance and purchased the YBF eyebrow pencil from Amazon.  It arrived on Sat, small box product was in a plastic bag, ends sealed, doesn't look like it's been opened  The description said it would come with a pamplet for apllying it etc. There was nothing but the pencil in the pkg :-(

It was close to $32 and I stupidly used my Amazon points of $26...and it says it's made in Korea

I have never used an eyebrow pencil before and now I am having major 2nd thoughts on this pruchase regardless if I lose my "points"

I did email the seller and am waiting for their 2nd response...

Feeling naive at 61 :-(

Thanks for listening,

Teddy

I don't think these are nearly as good as they used to be.   The last time I got some from HSN,  I paid $10/ea with free shipping.   They're worth about $2/ea, but because it's a cosmetic product they know women will pay whatever.

IF you want to keep it,  just apply in light short strokes.

Thanks Kachina624. I know I overpaid...I usually am a smart shopper and thought I'd done my homework but I definitely should not have purchased from Amazon.

I am not an impulse shopper, hard to explain why I did this...

And the fact that my $26 in points was automatically applied really makes me sick :-(

Of course that means I only paid $5 something for it but still.....

I bought mine last month from HSN, $10 and free shipping. First time buyer, but the presentation was convincing. Compared to other Eyebrow pencils I've tried I feel like the YBF one is nothing special, just OK. Won't reorder.

A few weeks ago, I went to Walmart.com and ordered several food items and make-up items, including Maybelline eyebrow pencils (2 in a pack) for $4.00. There were also other brands of eyebrow pencils --- and I always read reviews. Free shipping over $50.00. Best way to shop, low prices and good products.

I HATED YBF eye brow pencil!!  The worst piece of ****** I've ever used.  I ordered the blonde shade.  It skips, crumbles and the lead broke.  When I used my spooley to swipe off the crumbs, the whole thing came off.  I only have a half brow, very sparse, and the the rest is skin.   I complained, and threw it out.  Wasn't even worth the hassle to the P.O.  After trying a few other pencils, I go back to Avon, Luxury pencil.  It's a harder lead which gets sharpened, and goes on great, and lasts all day...through sweat too.   My flea market sells them for $2  bucks!!   Nice blonde shade for my fair skin, and platinum and blonde hair...not orangey.

Have you tried Ardell's eyebrow kits?  They're really inexpensive and comes with 3 or 4 colors so you can create your own color for your brows.  I buy mine at Sallys, but other stores may carry it.

Re: YBF Eyebrow Pencil

Teddy55, I love YBF eyebrow pencils -- they are all I've used for my eyebrows for years, and when I start to run low, I stock up so I won't run out. I think they are now about $11 each -- (2 for $22) -- plus tax, and sometimes with free shipping. You might find that you like this eyebrow pencil as much as I do (and a lot of others). As another poster advised, apply in light, short strokes. As you press harder, the color gets darker. And don't beat yourself up! Smiley Happy

I have her YBF eyebrow pencil. I don't find anything special about it at all and won't reorder. I paid $l0. & free S&H and figure it was worth about $2.00.

Smashbox, powder pencil is fantastic. Clinique's is great. And Mally has a terrific 3 pc. kit she devised for her friend with alopecia that really is bullet proof.
