With the WEN Lawsuit going on

[ Edited ]

I would never purchase the WEN products now. Who would want to risk being one of the people who WEN caused hair loss of any kind? I would think Chaz would address this  issue/ lawsuit sometime. QVC as well.  I will stick to my shampoo. Love the lather!

At least I did not post this in the WEN LOVERS forum. I knew I would get clobbered by those who are blind sighted to anything anti WEN.  There can be a differing of opinion  without being curt or nasty.  I did use WEN years ago, and  my hair and scalp did not do well with it.  I am glad I realized it and quit using it before I had adverse effects.

Anyone can FILE a lawsuit, it's whether or not they WIN that lawsuit that matters and gives merit to the claims.

And no, I'm not a WEN user.

@SeaMaiden

I am wondering how many other products contain the ingredients that Wen is being sued over.  I think this is just the beginning of the problem.  Please don't misunderstand my message. I am neutral about the Wen lawsuit.  However I do think that many other companies will be sued for using the same ingredients. JMHO

I don't use WEN any longer either, but fail to see the point of starting a thread like this.

Re: With the WEN Lawsuit going on

I began using Wen several years ago when I was having a lot of breakage in my baby fine hair.  I credit Wen with conditioning my hair and stopping the breakage problem.  I continued to use many of the products he makes and intended to always use them.  However my hair began to feel dirty and I tried to adjust amounts used.  I cleanse daily and nothing helped.  I began using Liz Earl shampoo instead,  but continue to use Wen styling products and my hair is responding beautifully.  Feels clean and full.  Also, the styling products aren't applied to the scalp so until the controversy is resolved I feel confident about using them.  Also if you are concerned about the issue,  you can wash your hair with another product and just use Wen cleansing conditioner on the ends if your hair is long enough.

Re: With the WEN Lawsuit going on

The Wen lawsuit does not change how the product is working for me.  I don't understand how a lawsuit would make me decide not to use a product that I have been using for 3 years without issue.

Until or if I end up with problems, I will consider not using Wen but with that being said, my hair has never looked better or more full.

Re: With the WEN Lawsuit going on

I have a friend who is so allergic to shellfish that she tells waiters she will die in their restaurant if they mistakenly serve her something with the fish or even its broth.  Yet-  I can buy shrimp every day of the week a gazillion different places!

I had such an adverse reaction to some base-metal earring posts that when my own doctor prescribed an antibiotic for me, he warned me to go directly to a specialist if the infection didn't disappear within a few days.  Yet, I could still buy base-metal posts on an earring any day of the week!

And penicillan?  Don't ask.  Yet millions of people use it very successfully.

My point -   people have allergies!   Some, apparently, are allergic to something in some WEN and should just stop using it.

Chaz and QVC and whoever else markets it should just keep their mouths shut until the case is settled where it should be settled - in court.
