Whoa! Returns to QVC Question

Hi Ladies -

I received Laura Geller's BnB and the shade is not the right color for me, so I'm returning it. However, I look at the return label and it says that QVC will deduct $6.95 from my refund to pay for the return shipping. This sounds awfully high, especially for such a small product AND the shipping I paid was $3.97. Does this seem fair? Also, does anyone know if I can put the item in my own envelope and pay for the shipping now so that QVC doesn't have to deduct anything when they receive the item? Any info you have is appreciated. Thanks so much!
