Re: Who Makes a Really Great Eyecream?

I only use about half for daytime and the full amount for night time.At least, that's what works for me. Hope you see results.

I use Shiseido Wrinkle Smoothing Eye Cream....just turned 60, people are constantly surprised when I tell them my age.  I have no crow's feet at all, and very minimal under eye lines.

@Shanus Is there any eye cream safe to put on the eyelid?

@manny2   Defintely don't use eye cream on the lid if going to wear shadow.

For night eye creams, if you apply it under the eyes and under the brow bone,it has a natural tendency, with body heat, to creep down enough onto lid without getting into eyes.

If you're needing an answer to crapey eyelids, I'd just use a good primer during the day.

Re: Who Makes a Really Great Eyecream?

I'm currently using the Mad Hippie only because I ran out of my favorite M Asam eye cream and I saw here that it had a good ingredient deck, but I will be returning to the M Asam as soon as I finish the tube.  Didn't really care for it.  It does have good ingredients for undereye circles (which I don't have) and deep wrinkles (which I also also don't have under my eyes).

I have sworn by M Asam eye creams for years.  I may switch up between the lines within M Asam, and I'll occasionally stray from M Asam, but always return.  Years ago I was using their Perfect Teint under my eyes to sorta fill in the wrinkles underneath them.  Then, one day, when I was getting ready to use it, I noticed those wrinkles weren't there anymore.  Ever since then, I've sworn by them.

What I call crinklies are the little wrinkles at the inner corner of the eye that appear when you squint.  And I squint a lot.  I have an awful time with concealers settling into those.  Problem solved when I change over to the under eye brightener underneath my foundation.  I no longer wear concealer.

I have always used eye creams (regardless of the brand)  on my eyelids at night.  But never during the day if  I am going to apply eyeshadow.

Hmm I have always used eye cream and/or regular facial moisturizer under my eyes and on my lids, even under makeup. 🤷‍♀️

Re: Who Makes a Really Great Eyecream?

[ Edited ]

Getting recommendations from others is excellent, but great eye cream is the one that works for the individual.  Like many here, I have used my share from drugstore to prestige.  If a bit of wrinkling is the main concern, I say go for the most intense moisture content (such as All About Eyes Rich).

My personal favorite of the moment is Peter Thomas Roth's Peptide 21 Wrinkle Resist Eye Cream. At $75 it's rather pricey, but after several months of using it, I have seen an impressive improvement in undereye dryness and dark circles.  I am using this one every night.

Another one I set aside after falling in love with Peter's is Elemis' Peptide4 Eye Recovery.  It's definitely in the category of very good, but I do think I see a better result with the PTR.  The eye cream sells for $49. I purchased a duo set from QVC for the same price Woman Happy.

A third for me is Perlier's Black Rice Eye Serum.  Because it's a serum it really can be layered with a favorite eye cream.  I really like this one as a first layer before applying makeup. I try to buy it when Perlier is airing on HSN and they have special pricing, otherwise, it would be categorized as rather expensive at $100.

Re: Who Makes a Really Great Eyecream?

@Trix

I don't have a dark undereye but I do have crinklies on the top of my cheekbones when I smile.  The Clinque product says for dark circles.  The PTR product is $95 doll hairs! Smiley Surprised  That's a little out of my tax bracket.  I'll have to find something else.  Thanks tho!
