Stupid answer time...I don't really know I guess it's not a moisturizer. I've never used a BB cream. It's not as heavy or opaque as a foundation. You can see your skin thru it. Skin tint started last year as far as I know. A part of the "lighter more natural look". I like wearing skin tints since my I started a new skincare regimen last year and have much nicer looking complexion. The first skin tint I bought was The Ordinary's skin tint. I liked it till hot weather came around and then it got too shiny. I'll use it again in the late fall. I have a Fenty skin tint (Fenty Eaze Drops) that I totally love!

Thanks for responding.
I like the idea of a tint as I do not have good luck with foundation looking natural and or if color is good, by afternoon I start looking oily. I can also tell within minutes if a product will cause a breakout. Sigh. The color of the neutral shade you posted looks like it would be a good winter time match for my skin tone. I may wonder over to Sephora of ULTA to try out one of the tint items. Concept is appealing.

Oh good! Hope you're able to find something that works for you. One thing you'll want to be aware of is that most (maybe all) lines won't include as many shades as they do in foundation because, since it's a tint and not meant to be as full coverage, many skin tones/colors can wear the same color. I think Fenty has the most colors (that I've seen). And the Fenty skin tint is buildable.

@kate2357 , a true skin tint has very light coverage. I would say they are more of a sheer coverage and provide just a slight hint or wash of color but they don't provide much coverage. They also don't provide any moisture so I do have to moisturize before I apply.
I think a tinted moisturizer is about the same coverage as a skin tint but you don't have to moisturize.
The only CC cream I ever used was IT and ELF and I find both of those to be more full coverage foundation like products. I have foundations that are thinner and provide less coverage.
The only BB creams I've used were the Maybelline which I hated and Tarte which I wore for years as my foundation. That again provided more coverage than a skin tint.
The problem is, a cosmetic company can make a product and clal it what they want because there is no regulation. Not saying there should be but a skin tint from one company could provide much more coverage than a skin tint from another company.

Thank you for the information. I have to say I like the idea of a sheer tint, but I also like the ease of a tinted moisturizer to save a step, yadda yadda. I am really trying to simplify my routines and focus on skin care vs make up to cover not so great skin. I'm retired now and rarely feel the need for a "full face" for every day -- but I still want to look good and look like I haven't given up.
Thanks again for replying.
