Re: Who Has Time For Makeup & Skincare

@teganslaw

Skincare is a MUST.  Makeup on days that I'm not leaving the house is optional.  I wish I had more discipline to wear it every day at home as my mother did.  Since my brother died, she rarely wears makeup Smiley Sad  She is still so sad and still not adjusting to assisted living.

Re: Who Has Time For Makeup & Skincare

I don't know....maybe me?

I've been through births and deaths, natural disasters, illnesses, surgeries, and more.  I never found it too much trouble to throw on some makeup, at some point during the day.

of course, my makeup routine has never been overly time consuming.  Maybe that's the key.

Re: Who Has Time For Makeup & Skincare

@magicmoodz I do remember what it's like to live in MN. LOL!

That's probably why I ultimately pared down my original Skin Medica routine! It seemed too many steps, I was spending a small fortune and wasn't getting the moisture results I wanted. I switched to inexpensive Olay products. I now live in a high desert environment and I have super dry skin. Try the Regenerist Ultra Rich cream. It's really good. I use that one on my hands too. I alternate with the Vitamin C face cream and the Retinol cream (eye cream too). Waiting to try their new Hyaluronic Acid cream as well.

I always use a moisturizing sunscreen and CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser. I have to say my skin has moisture that lasts and has never looked better!

@monicakm ...thank you!!  I also googled some..found some that looked nice, but im going to check out the dior next time I'm at the mall.  It may be a bright for my complexion so definitely need to see these blushes in person.  I happen to have one from Revlon that came up as dupe for dior.

Thank you for your recommendations! I am taking notes and looking forward to trying Olay!  I have read excellent reviews and agree that high end products don't always garner better results.

That was a tongue-in-cheek title.

Makeup's minimal, but of course always do morning and eveing skincare routine.

If mornings will be rushed, I'll allow extra time by waking up 15 minutes earlier , but never leave house without my sunscreen and Vit. C serum. My SPF is tinted and includes a moisturizer, so fast and easy since three steps are combined.

Re: Who Has Time For Makeup & Skincare

I just do my skincare routine these days. Don't wear make up at all except when I go out for appointments or to the very rare family gatherings--broke my ankle in Oct,  so am not doing much walking these days, altho I am able to put some weight on it. Need a hair cut desperately---
