White hair problem, please help!

I made a huge mistake by putting a hot blow dryer too close to the top of my hair on the side that is the longer one of an asymmetrical short cut. I singed it and it is kind of a pale yellow. Other than cutting it off, does anyone have any advice? I tried purple shampoo, but that doesn't affect it.

I will be seeing her next Monday, but she is in another state that I visit frequently, and I am only booked for a cut. I may have her chop it off if there isn't any easy way to cover it up. I thought one of the beauty  gurus here might have some advice. Thanks!

I don't think there is an easy fix for scorched hair. think of scorching a white tablecloth with your iron. I know the calista lady said a lot of her clients with white hair do not like to use high heat appliances for this reason.

you might try l'oreal everpure blonde shade reviving treatment. jusleave it on for as long as you can. I really like that product for keeping my hair white, I do not know if it is strong enough to correct your problem. good luck

Thank you for the recommendation of the L'Oreal Everpure blonde product. I think I will give it a try. I have usually worn my hair shorter on the top and have never scorched it. I actually noticed it becoming a bit yellower just prior to the blowdry singe incident. So, That top hair has been in the scorching process for several months. Never thought of that possibility before.  If the everpure doesn't do it, I'll go back to shorter length on top. Thank you so much!

@Marybella,  Here are a  few suggestions.  Try an apple cider vinegar & water rinse equal parts OR Shikai shampoo for gray/blond hair.  Also if nothing is working call your beauty salon.

Re: White hair problem, please help!

You either scorched your hair, which if you did, there is no way for you remove the burnt hair color, or you scorched a hair product that was on your hair.

If you had hair spray or a styling  product on your hair , you might have scorched the product. Maybe you  might be able to remove some of the burnt on product with a clarifying shampoo.

What might help is a spritz or two of a temporary rinse Like Roux Fanci Full in Silver Lining  or Platinum Plus.  Your hair will be a light silver instead of white, but it should be presentable.

It's definitely scorched, as I smelled burning hair. I hoped it was just product as I do use heat styling spray. However, it didn't come out when using purple silver enhancing shampoo or a clarifier. I would be happy with silver! I thought of Roux as I used that 30 years ago! I'll try the L'Oreal Everpure and if it doesn't work, I'll just chop it off to a pixie, as it will continue to be an issue. Thank you!

If you don't want to cut it, why not frost it?
