Has anyone tried the white? Do you like it? What can you tell me about it? I don't want to look like I'm doing anything to my hair or scalp. Can you tell you are using something? Depending on which way my hair is falling, sometimes you can see my pink looking scalp. Is this for me?
Thanks in advance.

I have had the white for about two weeks. I love it. I am 70 years old and my hair is pure white. My pink scalp shows through and it irritates me. I use it on the crown and where my hair naturally parts. It looks really good and stays on all day. I don't have any problem with it flaking.
I had really thick brunette hair that went grey early. I couldn't stand coloring my hair one more day so I let it grow out 10 years ago. Since then my crown has gotten quite thin. I used the JR Great Hair Day in salt and pepper for years but as my hair got whiter it just wasn't working any more. I was THRILLED when Joan brought out the white.
I am tempted to get the HairMax but I am so afraid to spend that amount of money. So, for now, I'll stick with the JR in white. HTH

I use both the salt and pepper and the white Great Hair Day to accommodate my zebra stripe hair. I love the coverage it gives me. It is impossible to tell that I have any thinning at all.
My only issue with the white is that it has a grainy quality. The salt and pepper seems much more finely milled. I did not purchase the white on the Q, however. I am going to need a white one soon and will order here and see if the texture is the same.
I would not be without this product.

Didn't Don Rickles do the same thing? We all laughed till our sides hurt. ("You're really starting to get on my nerves.") I loved when he said that. I admit Joan is over the top. I just "use" her, I don't have to like her personally.
Oh, re: hair coloring. The blonde works for me. It looks brown but that seems to be the style now-brown roots on blonde hair. I'm in!

Glad to read these posts. I have been using Joan's GHD in blonde, but was thinking I probably need to add Salt and Pepper to my regime as my hair is getting a little grayer all the time.
I have used Joan's product, as well as Topix, and for me, Joan's works the best. I never have any flaking, it stays in until I wash my hair, and it looks natural.
Great product!

Sally's carries Claudia Stevens Hair Powder for $10, but does not come in white or grey. SCA comes in grey on HSN.
