Which chemical peels are supposed to make your skin peel? And for how long?

I have never done one of these peels but I have used glycolic acid products with as much as 12% glycolic acid. I am looking to buy the lactic acid from lotioncrafter.com. Glycolic, lactic, mandelic, salicylic, tca, etc etc--which make your skin actually peel? TIA
