Re: Which Wen? Please help...

I use Wen exclusively and have for 8 years, but not all formulas work for everyone ... Lavender did the exact same thing to me. I also have fine, but a lot of it, color treated hair.... My favorites in the regular line are Pomegranate and Sweet Almond mint.... Enjoyed several of the seasonals, with my newest favorite being summer honey peach!!

Re: Which Wen? Please help...

Kate, you may want to take a look at the Wen - Cleansing Conditioner Discovery Kits available at QVC. Really the best way to figure out what formulas work best for you is to try a number of them. In the Wen 101 thread (post #2), I've included my observations (based on what people have mentioned in this forum) on why people like particular formulas. While there are some general rules about what formulas work best for people, they vary a lot from person to person.

Most people do well with Tea Tree (TT), Pomegranate (POM), and Sweet Almond MInt (SAM).

I have thin/fine hair and so I thought LAV would be best for me, but it dried my hair out and made it more frizzy. For a long time I thought the witch hazel was the issue, but my hair also does really well with Cucumber Aloe (which also has witch hazel in it). Someone mentioned that it might be the lavender oil itself, and I think they were right. Here's what I use for cleansing:

* first cleanse: TT (rotating in CA and Bamboo Green Tea - BGT occasionally)

* second cleanse: a rotation of 613, BGT and all the Seasonals

The CCs in my second cleanse rotation all have the amino acid complex which helps strengthen my thin/fine/porous hair. And the extra skin care ingredients are great fro my scalp.

I don't use the FIG CC, but it's recommended for people who have chemically treated, damaged hair. It also has the most moisture.

Best of luck!!
