Hello, I have been using BGT and whatever seasonal I have available to cleanse my hair for a while now. I sometimes add in 613. I have long curly hair that is colored treated and have been using wen only for almost a year now. I have noticed sometimes it does not turn out as nice as it was when I first started but not bad, when that happens I just use oil or do a mask to see if that is what my hair needed. I tried the winter vanilla mint and used it for both cleanses and wow my hair is just perfect, I love how it feels after using the wvm and the look is great. I have only been using the wvm since I got my first bottle and now I hate to go back to the other wen ccs I have, although I will cause that is a lot money to waste. I bought two more big bottles of wvm and have one small bottle, will buy more later if the q has any left. I was just wondering what makes this cc so different? Is my hair looking better because the bgt is no longer good for my hair? what cc is the most like wvm? any help would be appreciated, since the cc is only available a short time I was wondering what I should do next to keep my hair looking good thanks

Hi! I used to color my hair too. When my hair started turning platinum I would color it brown to keep my natural color. Also, I did not like the red pigment in it too. I find that coloring hair does damage and there is one model on QVC that I can still see damage in her hair even though Wen has been applied and I'm assuming she uses Wen on her own. Okay, that said, I think you're seeing a difference between the Vanilla Mint and the others could be because Chaz started using this 4 tea complex and honey complex and other stuff and I don't think the Vanilla Mint has those. Maybe that's why? I'm only speculating. If you really like the Vanilla Mint I would not consider it a waste of money to stock up because that one is not a staple like the others. However, I don't color my hair anymore. I let it be the color it is, which I don't like but there is a bright side, I have used exclusively for four and one half years and even the natural color has a deep luster and shine so yes, I don't have to keep coloring and Wen is good for my hair so I go with that. Try to avoid very hot hair appliances and don't color two lighter or darker than your natural shade. I found Bamboo to be lovely but everyone's hair responds differently, I guess. Maybe trying one of the staple formulations would be good so it will be there always for you. Aww. I'm sorry if I was not enough help. Good luck. xo

I really think that SAM is close if you're wondering which core it's similar to. The results have been similar for me, and the consistency is the same as well. Some CC'S for me seem thinner than others, and those are the ones I find more moisturizing. WVM is one of those, but it does largely remind me of SAM in that matter. I know it's hard to spend all that money stocking up; DH won't let me regardless of how much I love WVM. I fear this is the last year it's offered, too.
You are probably right about WVM not being offered again. If it is offered again it probably wouldn't be for a couple of years at least. Of course, you can always try to find it on another site but if you buy on another site you can't be assured of getting the genuine product and it may also be a very old product.

Maybe he is trying to see which ones are the most popular and then stick to them. This is pure speculation on my part. WVM is probably the most popular seasonal ever, along with SHP. My favorite is FGP and I'd be very sad if that was a one time deal.
I still haven't tried WVM but agree with you that it is very popular. Many who had the opportunity to try it mostly liked it. Although, I am not sure that I would like it since someone on another thread said that it is exactly like Victoria's Secret snow mint fragrance. I went to Victoria's Secret to try this fragrance and decided that I didn't like it so I may not like WVM either. I may still order it if it is offered in a 3 piece winter cleansing conditioner kit similar to what was offered for the fall cleansing conditioners.

Okay so I have been using WEN for three years now. I have loved all the Seasonals but never quite got attached to just one. I would have to use 32 pumps from a 16oz bottle so never had enough to just use one for any cleanse. I mix everything together. I pretty much use the Seasonals just for 'seasoning'. That way you get to enrich your hair with the essence of each seasonal without using too much in one cleanse.
This happens every season with someone proclaiming that- that one seasonal being the 'one and only' but I really do think you can find something or some combination that works as well. My HG is TT and then it just becomes an eclectic mix thereafter.

I agree with LyssaLynne and would give SAM a try. I think it is really underrated for conditioning. It provides my curls with a great level of moisture -- I often add a pump or two to whichever seasonal I am using.
I will add that BGT did not treat me well after a few washes. My hair feels dry when I use it consistently. 613 on the other hand does wonders for me. So go figure -- both formulas are treatment oriented but they have the opposite effect on my hair.

Hello! I have used WEN since 2011. What I have found in the last year is that your hair can get too much of something. I have pretty much been using POM and whatever seasonals for the last three years, which are all soy based. That said, no other CC has made my hair nearly as awesome as WVM does. I was reminded of this when it became available again this year.
I started with SAM. In the last year I have gone back to SAM as a first cleanse. It really is a great CC. I did try the Bamboo and it dried my hair out. I'd say try the SAM...and stock up on the WVM! ![]()
