Some of us are way past menopause and are dealing with the crepy arms. We are old ladies and not liking it.

@catwhisperer I remember when I first started seeing differences in me (the aging process). It's like you say to yourself, where the hell did this come from? You get skin tags, broken capillaries on your face, and this crepy skin on my arms. I joke about it and just go with the flow. I am well passed menopause (amen). I turned 70 in December. Sometimes I have to pinch myself because where did all the years go by?

@Katcat1...scary, isn't it?

It really is odd isn't it regarding how fast the arm thing happens? With other parts of aging (age spots, wrinkles, etc.) it seems to be for me at least a gradual thing.
Not so with the arms!
I remember I was laying on my bed playing with the cat and twisted my arm a certain way over my face and thought what the heck is that???? Jumped up and ran to the mirror and recreated it, much to my chagrin. It didn't happen until menopause though.
The other "gift" from menopause I received was a nice abdominal bulge/spread. It appears that the word menopause actually originates from an old Latin word which means "to store enough oddly shaped belly fat for the upcoming famine".
Who knew?

I lost about 85 pounds at 68. My underarm skin hangs like Wisteria Trees in the Everglades..... no cure except surgical removal, and I wear sweaters at all times, all year around.
Still glad that the weight loss appears to have been permanent.

@violann Wow!!!! Congratulations
That is quite an accomplishment!

Maybe dry brushing will help. I don't know really why skin gets that way. My skin is not crepy, or bumpy, and I think it is because I dry brush with a Salux every night before showering. I don't need or use body creams.
Also, I don't think our hydration only comes from water. I think most of our food intake needs to be from fresh fruit & vegetables, which will eventually show up on our overall skin health. I'm sure daily exercise helps, too.

Another sad part of aging! Just add it to the list. That is why 3/4 and long sleeves are now a staple to my wardrobe! Embrace the positive things and downplay or cover up the negative!!!

@SilleeMee wrote:Lotions or creams with glycolic acid really helps a lot. Use one with at least 10% glycolic. I use Alpha Skin Care 12% body lotion. Used that for years and I don't have crepey skin. I'm going to be 65 soon.
Thanks @SilleeMee ...at 65 I have crepey arm skin too. I ordered a bottle of this lotion from Amazon last night, and hope I get some good results!
