I'm on autoship for Algenist Concentrated Reconstructing Serum and had it shipped by UPS which was a big mistake for it arrived on a Friday morning but not put on a truck for delivery until the following Monday. It was warehoused for 3 days and this is Nevada I'm talking about. So, when it arrived I immediately checked it for heat damage and the bottle was extremely hot to the touch as I expected and returned it. I reordered using USPS Priority Mail on 6/25 and it is out for delivery right now.
Also, want to say that I sent an email to Algenist asking what the highest temperature was that product could withstand before losing its effectiveness. They told me "We recommend keeping your product in room temperature ranging from 20-25 degrees celsius; 68-77 degrees fahrenheit for optimal effectiveness and stability. You should avoid storing the serum in conditions higher than room temperature and should not allow the product to freeze."
I have a feeling that recommendation applies to most creams and lotions too. Not good. I know that UPS uses trucks with refrigerated compartments and ones with a/c when delivering to certain businesses on the Las Vegas Strip that demands better delivery methods and gets them. Don't know about regular shopping malls though.
Can you imagine paying for super high priced Perricone online and wondering why it never works for you but works for others? Maybe being exposed to excessive heat for 5 - 10 days!
