What works best for chapped hands at nite under cotton gloves?

My hands are very chapped. Two nites in a row I've slathered them with argan oil and worn the gloves with no improvement. I'd like to know what works for people who use the cotton gloves overnite. I have olive oil, Curel, vaseline and generic hand cream on hand. TIA.
