What skincare in your 30's??

Just looking into starting a better skin care routine, instead of putting together different products. I am early thirties, sensitive skin and things break me out easily....I have been using just regular moisturizer which is breaking me out anyway. So, was interested in philosophy TSV yesterday 9/6, so I ordered, but now not sure if products good for me...? Not too worried about wrinkles yet even bough the set is anti aging...I thought it might be good for my skin. Would love any suggestions!....what do other ladies use, what works?

Re: What skincare in your 30's??

I just turned 36 and got into Paula's Choice. I got a cleanser, BHA exfoliant (am), daytime moisturizer with SPF and nighttime AHA exfoliant and moisturizer with retinol. Nothing has broken me out and I can already tell huge differences in the texture and look of my skin for the better. What's great is you can order samples or sample size starter kits to try them out. And they also have a great return policy.

The Principle Secret Advanced Line is a cleanser, moisturizer ( day and night), and eye gel that has been used in hospitals for people with sensitive skin, including acne prone and people who are going thru chemotherapy. There are some other steps that can be added ( the enzyme treatment rocks!- it's only to be used once a week), the three steps mentioned above are the core program and will be a quick, easy way to take care of your skin.

Hi. Since you have sensitive skin, I highly recommend the Yves Rocher Active Sensitive with Botanical Sophorine line of products. We have found them to be very gentle, yet effective. In fact, it is the only product my daughter can use. Sounds like you both have the same issues. There is everything from gentle cleansing lotion to targeted eye and lip products. The Derma-Soothing Day Moisturizer is awesome! It's also perfect under make-up. We have been pleased with just about everything we have ever tried of theirs. It used to be sold on QVC years ago, but now we order directly from their website. They always include free samples and a choice of free gifts with a purchase, and also have free shipping promos. (Usually free with $35.00 purchase.) They are based in France, use only botanical ingredients, are earth friendly and animal friendly. I hope you check out their website at www.yvesrocherusa.com. Paula's choice. Her lines are clear, simple, direct with easy use. There aren't tons and tons of this and that, it is easy to navigate what is right for you. You can chat with their customer service online or call. They often do samples for free, but they are 80 cents! She has very good care for sensitive skin. I'm using her 2%,4%,and 9% BHA for my pores and occasional acne. I also use her moisturizer for my oily skin. I am using Cerave Foaming Cleaner and Dickinson's Witch Hazel for toner. I will roll fully to her line as I finish my products. You will not find any better customer service anywhere.

at your age it's all about the SPF! you don't need the anti aging stuff in the TSV and with your sensitive skin the soap is going to get you! purity is loaded with known irritants

Re: What skincare in your 30's??

Hi! I commented on your Philosophy thread last night, relating that my experience with that line has been disappointing (other than Purity). IMO, Philosophy skincare is overpriced and relies too heavily on its' marketing, rather than any discernible results.

I use (and love) SKINN products (on ShopHQ). My favorites include any of the Collagenesis serums (Face, Eyes, Lips), The Collagenesis 24 hour Creme, and the Reorganize Night Eye Balm.

The SKINN line is very affordable and comes in all types of kits so that you can try a variety of products. I have enjoyed excellent results from this line!

Wow, thanks ladies for the input. So, what is a good moisturizer with SPF for sensitive skin?... Purity loaded with irritants?.. Really?... Anyone have trouble using it?

At age 30 you need a moisturizer with an SPF for daytime and a separate moisturizer for night time. You might want a BHA or AHA product as well. I would also suggest going with Paula's Choice. Her products are fragrance free with no irritating ingredients. She has a line for sensitive skin. I use mostly her Skin Recovery system, which calms redness, prevents signs of aging and soothes dry skin. This line is for normal, dry, or very dry skin. It's working very well for me.
