What's the Difference?? Tova Edition

Can someone tell me what the difference between Tova Signature and Tova Signature Platinum? I have smelled the Tova Signature...just curious how different the Signature Platinum is. Which is most like the original fragrance?

Thanks in advance,

Julie

Tova Signature is her latest attempt to get back to the original and I think it's very close. I enjoy it. I believe is has 28% essential oils in it. Tova Platinum is an earlier version which has a slightly higher amount of oils in it like 31% or something like that?

I agree with Barbiedr - the Signature is very close to the original; however, the last I ordered which was over a year ago, the scent didn't last. I've also used the Platinum and for me, it lasted longer. It was really wonderful if you could find a bottle of the Elixir and layer.

What happened to her original? I wore bought some in the early 90's, and thought it was very nice.

Maren, I believe that QVC acquired the line and cheapened the ingredients. Tova stepped back into the manufacturing about eighteen months ago (by re-acquiring the line or by becoming more hands-on, I don't know), and she tried to get it back closer to the original. The rising price of certain of the ingredients had something to do with the change in formulation, too, but mostly I think it was a change in ownership that caused the downfall of an otherwise stellar fragrance.

Supposedly there were also changes in international laws which govern which ingredients and amounts could be included in fragrance. Apparently this affected other older fragrances as well such as Chanel no. 5.

Hi,

The last time I bought the "new Tova" I had to send it back.

I bought a Tova copy at Pittsburgh soapworks and I must say it smells great and lasts quite a while. The lady told me she copied it from the original Tova.
