Makeup is not a substitute for good skincare.

Everything you do to take care of your face, do the same to your neck. Use exfoliators, serums, moisturizers, etc. It doesn’t need to be a separate neck product; just extend the love below your chin every single day. I’m sure we’ve all seen the lady with an almost perfect line less face, but her neck is an awful mess of wrinkles and chicken skin!

Re: What's Your Best Beauty Advice

Start a skincare routine young!  I did, on the advice of my mama and aunt, and am so glad I did.  At 56, my skin isn't perfect but it is healthy looking.

@grammarqueen

First...I love your user name Smiley Happy

Absolutely (skincare below the neck).

I use an extra pump/drop or two to include my hands as well.

As I've said here multiple times, everything that goes

on my face and neck goes on my chest and back of hands too...

everything from essences to retinols to moisturizers.

@justashopper I remember wearing that dark lip when I was younger. I tried it again..well let's just say neutrals are now my friend.  My favorite was a color called vamp! I thought I was so hot! Lol

Get your beauty rest. (I've never been a great sleeper!! But some nights are more rested than others and I do my best.)

Wear sunscreen.

Wash off your makeup at night.

Smile, feel your gratitude for the small stuff.

And a pretty pop of your favorite lip gloss never hurt. Smiley Happy

I agree, get enough sleep and drink plenty of water,

Re: What's Your Best Beauty Advice

What has worked for me at age 73 is to wear sunscreen, exercise and try to eat a healthy diet. Exercise not only has a physical advantage but it also helps to keep the brain functioning as best as it can. That definitely becomes more of a challenge as I age.
