I'm 9 yrs younger than ur mom. Back in those days, most (or all) of these products were not available. We just used a bar of soap (drying), shampoo.and body powder. You don't have many things in ur bath.Explain to ur mom that these items make ur skin/hair soft. Let her pick something to use - and she'll get hooked. I love that we have all those beautiful soaps, oils, body washes, shampoos/conditioners available. Years ago, they weren't aware of taking care of our skin or just smelling good after a shower/bath.

7. PC hair conditioner that I sometimes use as shaving gel

Kinda sorry I bought that PC conditioner because shortly after I did I broke down and bought Suave almond oil and shea butter shampoo and conditioner.  The duo stays outside the stall but it has a special place in my heart.  Great stuff!

I think the original poster is quite normal.  I have at least 3 shower gels, one bar of soap, a foot file, a fabric flower in a small vase, a pretty beach towel on the towel bar.  Like a poster stated above, different generations view things differently.
