I'd just posted on a different post about a styling product that my cousin has started using that I'm going to try with my rather wavy hair, which is a styling cream with the title of SGX NYC Curl Power Nourishing Curl Cream.  The local target or walmart may have it.  What I currently use is nexxus styling foam (with a hair diffuser), though I'm not sure that it encourages the curls as much as perhaps a styling cream or gel.  (I don't really prefer styling gel with its "stickiness.")

For me it is Aveda Style Prep. Plus instead of regular conditioner after I shampoo I use hair masques. Those of us with curls know they can get dry very easily. I also air dry my hair. After going through menopause my hair got curlier and dryer so I baby it.
