Hi Monica! I'm a huge fan of Baked, but I use only Laura Geller. Why I like it - it's not as drying as regular powder and goes on so smoothly, it's made in Italy (my mom always loved anything made in Italy - LOL), and it lasts forever!

If you have never tried it, think about getting a blush or small Baked eyeshadow palette from LG (great sales on her website right now). You know cosmetics, and I'd be interested to know what you think!   Smiley Happy

For me, it is the ease of application.  And they last forever.  Coverage is nice and it doesn't dry my face out.  Plus, it stays on really well when I have a ballroom competition.

I think people also like to try something different than that bottle of liquid which many of us use.

Remember that "minerals" product which was so popular a few years back.  I cannot remember the exact name, but I do remember the representative who was on QVC so much with that product.

Whether you use "baked" products or loose powder foundation from Bare Minerals or whatever company you choose, these are great to travel with.  You don't even need a mirror for application.  So easy.  No liquids to worry about spelling.  Laura Gellar makes the best "baked" products.

They "start their life as a cream." And so, different than other pressed powders, which contain things that holds the powder together.

Also, you can use wet or dry.

Haven't done this yet, but will try spritzing my brush first then apply Laura's Ethereal Rose, which I've been using as a blush. Wet, the color will intensify.

I agree with @brandiwine that Laura Geller makes the best baked products. I have used her Bronze and Brighten for years.  Her Balance and Brighten is a must for me, especially in the summer, it  dosen't melt away! I like it as a light dusting for a finishing powder over other foundations too.
