I agree with Kat. I was thinking the same thing while watching the show. It happened so often that I thought about calling CS! I like Sandra's presentations, but last night she was so chatty...she did cut Valerie off several times!!

All the hosts are rude, with the exception of a few. Mary Beth is probably the MOST polite host there is, without a doubt. She never talks over anyone. She's SO gracious and waits until someone finishes before she interjects anything. She's also very polite when she has something to add to something a vendor is saying, or she wants to make a point. She knows when to say something and when to be quiet and let the vendor speak. She's really polite to callers too. She says please, thank you and excuse me.

The other polite hosts I can think of, are Sharon and Leah and Pat. There's one more I'm thinking of, but I can't remember her name right now.

I just don't watch the channel anymore. Basically I get what I need from the website. It's just too much to deal with, with the multiple hosts especially like in a show like PMS on laptops.....the chatter with the models.....the silliness......the chatter about children and luncheons and where they went on vacation and whatever.....it's just not tolerable for me any longer.

I can look at the items that I want to on the website, watch a video if I want to, mute it, or fast forward when it comes to silliness or chatter about children or husbands or sisters or vacations or whatever. It's no longer enjoyable for me to watch QVC live. I just can't sit through any of the mindless chatter the hosts engage in.

I feel exactly the same way. I never watch anymore. I used to have it on constantly as background noise while I was doing other things. I found it relaxing. Nowadays it's anything but! I hate the hard sell. I really hate it when they interrupt with the ever so important update on how many people are on the phone lines!

I used to do the same thing! Now I will put it on the news or something else, anything but QVC. Really, I'd rather listen to news about the Ebola outbreak in Africa rather than have QVC on.

And, you are correct. It is definitely the hard sell now and it didn't used to be that way. They really push stuff now which is such a turnoff to me.

I can't stand the updates either of how much they've sold, how many people are on the lines, "let's go to the phones!" and talking to a caller (which I hate the most).

I'm finding it more & more difficult to watch the shows.......... so I tape them and forward thru -

SHOPHQ has the WORST hosts EVER - slouching over the table, starting a topic so OFF from say...... Skin Care, cutting off the vendor, cutting off a call in the middle of the person talking

Especially when they claim to use that product being presented and say they've used it for months or a year or 5 years and it's made a huge difference in their skin

AND THEN......... the vendor is explaining it the hosts says OH is that how it's used...... I didn't know that OR oh is that what it does, I didn't know that ........ H E L L O you just raved about it a minute ago claiming you use it, for how long AND what it's done for your skin ........???????

There are MAYBE 1 or 2 I can listen to on SHOPHQ

I just think the hosts are under so much pressure to sell and if they are on during the day and prime time when the suits are watching it's even more pressure. People are not always at their best under pressure, but the seasoned hosts should be more professional.

It's not just on QVC. That show called "The Talk" I've noticed these women often all talk at the same time!

I agree--it's everywhere, talk shows, 'news' shows. Everyone is always talking over each other (often times yelling over each other) and speaking at the speed of light. It probably is an age thing, I'm in my early 60s as well, but it's difficult to understand and listen to at any length.

I realize that everything is sped up nowadays, and all the media have time constraints. But they have guests on and will ask a question like, "What is the meaning of life?", give them 30 seconds to answer, then butt in to give their own opinion or break for a commercial. Why bother?

I also realize that no one is marketing for my demographic, so they don't really care what I think. I also now realize what my mother used to complain about, and I apologize to her in my prayers daily!
