Re: What is a texturizing spray???

Dry texturising/finishing sprays are a clever hybrid of dry shampoo, hairspray, sea salt spray and a whole load of backcombing in a can.I got ideas from online journalism programs.Texturising spray work on freshly washed hair just as well as they do on second (or third, we're not judging) day hair - our list of why we love them is basically endless. Put simply: they're our holy grail, go-to product.

Hello, kcladyz. Smiley Happy

The usual hairspray gives volume, body, thickness, hold or all of the above.

Texture is basically a look and feel. Kind of like when you touch certain fabrics, you can feel and sometimes see the texture of it.

Example: "The texture of this sweater feels soft." Or, "The texture just looks so luxurious."

Texturizing hairspray basically unlocks the layers in your hair, making it look like you went to a stylist that gave you a professional layered haircut.

That's the best way I can put it anyway. Maybe someone else can explain it better. Smiley Tongue

I have found that any hairspray will "texturize" if you run your fingers through your hair right after you spritz

It's funny how we all differ. I have very straight, fine hair but I find it has too much texture, which probably equates to dryness. I'm looking for less texture and more smoothness and shine.

If it helps, Nick Chavez makes something called Flocker for Wet or Dry Hair. It says that it's a texturizer, volumizer and styling spray all in one.

Like to use when you want those beachy waves because it separates hair versus making it all smooth and "flat".  Its almost like those balms you use to spike or separate certain pieces of hair but just in a spray form.  Reminds me of those spray gels back in the 90s
