Sunscreen by day, retin-a by night.
Drink a lot of water, eat well, exercise and get enough sleep.
People can do more than that if they want (and I have) but I think those are the "basics."

My eye doctor knew that I spent a tremendous amount of time behind the windshield driving for business. He gave me a mirror and told me to squint like I was looking into the sun. Then he told me to take a good look in the mirror because all those wrinkles would become permanent if I didn't wear sunglasses year round. I never, ever leave the house without my RayBans.
Best beauty advice from an unlikely source because at 58 I have very few wrinkles compared to others my age.

Sunscreen, indoors and outside. Do not sleep in make-up. Cleanse well and keep your skin hydrated. This is in regards to the OP. Last night my bedroom did not smell fresh although everything is clean. I figured it had to be the BF although he was clean. After he left for work I spritzed the bedding with Pure Grace. Now my room smells fresh and clean again. (I ran out of Febreeze)
