What does this mean in beauty reviews?

I have been reading reviews on various beauty products lately.

I have come across a term that I am obviously missing out on!

I have seen this all over the place - "meh."

What the heck does this mean?

It's one of those words that means what it sounds like -- nothing to write home about.

Not only in beauty reviews, but it's become an expression often use in other areas too, to mean, in essence, "no big deal".

Re: What does this mean in beauty reviews?

I remember my Italian mother shrugging and saying, "Mezza mez!" It's the abbreviated form of "mezza mezza," or "in the middle." Not bad, not great, just sort of average.

Meh. An even shorter version. Wink
