What does Argan Oil do exactly??

I bought some Josie Maran Argan Light Oil just to try it because it is everywhere. So what exactly is it suppose to do? Where do you use it. It still feels kinda greasy to me but maybe I am using it wrong or putting too much on. Any help is appreciated.
