I am thinking of using for thinning cover. I have tried Joan rivers and it made my scalp look terrible and I use Toppix but thought this might be better. Any opinions on this product?

I don't think this is its true purpose, I think this is a root cover up for color only, I don't think there are any "fillers" in the product

I think sprays do a MUCH better job for this purpose than powders. Oribe and L'oreal each make one and I love them both.

I agree that a spray does much better. I use Rita Hazan, which I first purchased from the Q. They went over color selections very well. Even though I have dark brown hair, I use the Light Brown and it is perfect.

I love it! When my gray hair comes through it looks like I have a wider part in my hair. Madison Reed covers the scalp better than JR. it also covers my gray hair until I can get into the hairdresser.

it works good but i like WOW better which QVC used to carry, Wow isn't matte, hair isn't matte and Madison reed is matte. So that why i prefer WOW

@beautydiva, just wanted to mention -- I've used the WOW product and didn't wash it out before going to get my roots done. Stylist noticed the dye did not "take" in the areas I had the WOW product. She noticed I still had grays along my part and sides and asked if I had anything in my hair. She had to rewash my hair to get the WOW out, dry it, and recolor my roots. Just wanted to mention -- wash out the WOW product before you color!

I've been using WOW for a few years. I get my roots done every 3 weeks and always have WOW on my roots when I get them touched up. I've never had a problem with color not taking.
Before WOW I used Joan Rivers and again, never had it washed out before color was applied.
