@ECBG Promoted to stylist and not a word to us?
@ShanusOf course I would tell you!
Two mgrs at my store applied for the same position, but they spent half of their time telling that (retail) mgr about me. I have a wide following. A lot of ladies call to see if I'm working. They call me THE stylist because at our store we're not supposed to really style and I do. It's just "me", can't help it.
I want to go to the other store, even though at my store I am known as the "head stylist", there isn't actually a position at THAT store. I will have more hours there and be designated as a stylist which I am actually doing and not getting paid.
My customers are on my FB and I will tell them. The two are 30 minutes apart.
I want this very much. I am dealing with two acidic personalities at my store, and the other team is loving and helpful.
@ECBG. I’ll be thinking about you and hope you get your dream position.

@ShanusThank you. He wasn't there today, but he will be tomorrow. I won't go, however if my fav mgr doesn't go. If it's the acidic mgr, "good luck" to them!!!

I usually toss them in the box with the unused nail polish and periodically just dump it all in the trash.

I am guilty of this too..... I think I like it, buy it, try it at home , see something different....
I think those store lights are very deceiving.
Also, I like to have seasonal colors.
I have one girlfriend who would never ever buy anything extra or multiple. She would never buy another lipstick until she used the existing one.

@SANNA she sounds like my mom. She always wore pink lipstick and would not buy another tube until she ran out. Of course, there were times that she owned more than one lipstick, the times that she got the "rejects" that my sisters and I bought and decided we didn't like. 😊

I toss them out.

@Shanus wrote:I save and repurpose my eye shadow palettes and put lipsticks in the wells. That way, with a brush, I can mix 2 together and make other shades much better than each one was individually. It helps to put a few light ones and mid-tones. In the drugstore, those long strips for meds w/ flip tops (say M, T, W on top) are great for this.
I do something similar @Shanus. I use contact lense containers or empty eye cream jars & slice off several shades of lipstick then microwave them on defrost till they just start to melt. Then stir with toothpick & test the shade. If still not something I like I add another slice of lipstick. It's really fun & no more wasted lipsticks. I can justify buying another new one!
