Re: What did you use up this week? 8/5

There are products I love, and become obsessive when trying to use up every last bit.

Used the very last day's worth from a jar of Elemis Pro Collagen Marine cream.

I really like the Skinn Hand Restore Cream which is kind of pricey but I ordered a 3 pack from HSN when it was on special last fall. Hate wasting stuff at the bottom of a squeeze tube! So I cut the end off and there was enough to eke out 3 more nights' worth from that tube.

Then there is the Prescriptives lipstick that I've been digging out the remains of with a lipstick brush. Sayonara to that particular lipstick, as well as to Prescriptives, which sadly is no more.

My mega size Philosophy Gingerbread Man shower gel came today: It's almost the same scent as the Origins ginger bath stuff I used to have. At 64 oz, it will be quite a while before those 2 giant bottles will be finished.

@kathie66 Absolutely love my Philosophy Falling in Love Shampoo and am soooo disappointed that the shampoo has been discontinued. I still have 1 more 32 oz bottle.

Sending wishes for you all to have something good happen this weekend!

A slow week for me:

Used up 2 lip balms, Chapstick in Orange Cream, loved this scent/taste. Carmex stick in Wintergreen. I would buy both again if mI could get these flavors, but I think they were special editions.

Re: What did you use up this week? 8/5

Hello, happy Sunday!

I'm a little late getting to post, but I did use up a couple small things last week:

Derma E Vitamin C serum 15m- I usually like this brand but this Vit C left my face tacky so I used it up on my neck and chest. I have several other serums here to work on.

Lancome UV Expert Aquagel Defense SPF 50 10ml- I liked this and would maybe consider a full size purchase. It looks like it runs about $40 for one ounce, so I don't know if I like it THAT much. I don't need any right now, so we'll see when the time comes.

Tossed a small lipgloss that had gone bad and Coola Refreshing water mist SPF 18 trial size. I had expected this to be a water spray, because that's what it's called so I sprayed it pretty liberally all over my face. Oh my goodness, It made me an absolute greasy mess. Thank goodness I didn't have makeup on! I tried to rub it in, then wipe the excess off. It even got my bathroom floor all greasy. Plus I think it irritated my skin. Straight to the trash! So beware if anyone is looking at this, the water mist is oil, not water!

That's it for me, have a good week everyone!

Re: What did you use up this week? 8/5

Threw two old items out today...

a Bare Mineral tube lip gloss...too old and gloppy...never wore it much...another one of those mom gave to me from a kit she ordered. It was matte and I seldom wear a matte lip gloss...usually has a little glimmer to it...looks best on me.

Also was looking in my cosmetic storage box...and glad I opened to look at this "glimmer lotion" I got from...are you ready for this...Kirk's Folly! ...probably circa 2005!

I did used to use this like on holidays, going out dressed up New Year's Eve...it was one of those clear lotions that had glitter in it. It was subtle, opalescent glitter, and it smelled so nice. Anyhoo...have not reached for that in years and it was all dried up!l Glad I looked, as it didn't need to take up any real estate in that box!

I'm also eye-balling some kind of gold shimmer powder eyeshadow in a tube with applicator I've had since forever, also Bare Minerals. I'm going to try it on and see if I even like it on me. It came together with a taupe shimmer I used to wear in my crease, for an evening/dressy look. But I hardly ever wore that gold. But of course...I just have to try it to make sure, lol.

That's it for me this week, or all I can think of!

~Have a good weekend, everyone!
