Re: What did you use up this week? 2/21

Just yesterday eeked out and used the the last precious drops of my Dr. Denese Hydroshield. Sad because I went to her website and what I paid maybe $60 for last year, is ...wait for it....$200 this year?!!! Um, no tks DD...it's good, I've used it for 20 years, pretty consistently, but it ain't liquid gold. I'll wait for a special at some point. In the meantime I'll use one of The Ordinary serums or something else from drugstore brands l like.

I have been diligently using down all my bar soaps. I also had finally used ALL my Philosophy shower gels months ago, and decided I didn't need anymore for now.

But I broke down this week and got a good deal of Fresh Cream, one of my favs, to have in the shower now-summer it'll last me! (sometimes longer than that) ....along with still using down the bar soaps. I like both. When I do need some new bar soaps, I am going to get more Dove...really liking having that in the shower with that bar I brought home from vacation.

That was all for me this week.

Happy weekend, everyone. Still 🥶 in CT, but ☀️ and Spring is coming. 🌷 🌺

@amyb - That's quite a price jump on the Hydroshield.  I wonder if you may have gotten it on a TSV last year?

No @JeanLouiseFinch I got it directly from DD's website as, at that time, she had the best price! It's a ridiculous price jump! And QVC, I checked, not much better now...I'm holding off for now.

@amyb Wow, that certainly is a price jump on the Hydroshield! I like it too, but I won't be purchasing it anymore if that is the going price when I run out. And great job using up all your Philosophy and kudos on your progress using up your bar soaps!! Stay warm!

Tried a tarte blush from back in Dec----it was bad,  so tossed it. It is a cream one in a tube with a sponge tip--horrible stuff--could never get it to blend in and  left a faint  trail of where it had been applied------even after using many brushes to get it to blend--

Re: What did you use up this week? 2/21

Tossed a dpHue Copper Gloss+ Conditioner.

It had been sitting around for awhile since, by the time I might use it to refresh my color, my roots would have grown in and it won't cover those.  However, I'm getting a perm next week and my normal color day would be yesterday.  I didn't want to color that close to my perm, so I colored my roots last Thursday and decided to use this to refresh my length because the perm would pull a lot of color out anyways, so better this semi-permanent conditioner than real color.  I had trouble getting it out since the pump was clogged, so I decided to toss it and get another one.

You do need to take the advice to wear gloves when using this as it will stain your hands. I was pleasantly surprised at how well it matched my roots and how glossy my hair was.

@amyb   There was a DD either Tsv or Big deal earlier this year for $98 for a 10 oz.  Usually there may be a duo as a big deal or 4oz duo with peel pads.  My last DD hydroshield order I split a big duo purchase with a friend.  It worked out for both of us.  My 4 oz does last a long, long time.

edited to add.  @amyb   There are several 4 oz on eBay for around $60.  I've had really good luck on eBay with Josie and Wen items.

I used up:

Amazing grace roller ball.  I have a 2 oz AG radiant to open.

Tossed two BBW body creams that separated.  I knew they were old.  Gone!  I have a half of a tub of First Aid body cream to use up.

SO - he used up a big Suave body lotion.  I have one more in the stash for him.

Everyone enjoy the weekend!

Revlon 5 in 1 concealer in Universal Neutralizer. I am not every good at selecting shades so used this neutralizer for concealing redness.

Had to toss out: ( 😭) Dr. Denese Glycolic peel pads, that, come to find out, were older than I thought. I sent mfr's dates to DD and the chemist reviewed and got dates and said, even though they were all still sealed they could not recommend them to be safely used at this point. I knew they were accumulated from my old AD set that had stopped 4 or 5 years ago, but was hoping maybe one of the newest ones would still be ok, but no. Even Google says only keep 6 mos to maybe a year if unopened.

So out went 5 unopened jars of DD's pads. Oh well...if that "Wait list" kit ever comes through for me on Q, with those pads included, I will finally try to use them as they should be, consistently, to see if they actually will make any difference in my "fine lines" and firmness?! Try as I might, I only ever used them randomly, occasionally, hence the "accumulation." My bad. 🤦‍♀️

Any of you ever have results from glycolic peel pads, of any brand? Just curious.
