What are the differences in oils for your face?

There's plain old olive oil, tea tree oil, avocado oil, sesame oil, argan oil, almond oil, and the list goes on. What makes some oils better and/or more expensive for your face? I just listed a lot of things that come to mind, and read once Sophia Loren used olive oil. . . so it just got me thinking!

There are tons of facial oils out there today, so have you tried any and what did you think were the differences? THANKS!

Re: What are the differences in oils for your face?

Olive oil is too heavy for me & greasy. I have tried argan, maracuja and marula oil. I love marula oil for my facial skin. It absorbs quickly, non greasy, keeps my skin balanced = no dryness even in the winter months with cold wind and temperatures, keeps my skin soft and heals the skin and is good for redness. I like maracuja oil for my scalp and run thru hair and wash in the morning, argan for eyelashes and cuticles. That's what works for me.

Sooner, I haven't come across a better explanation on the differences in oils than from Minimalist Beauty. Don't let the "for acne skin" sway you into not reading just because you may not have acne skin.

For me, who has never suffered from acne or sensitivities of any kind, I can use almost anything. I certainly have experimented with a lot of the different carrier oils.

For face my favorites include rose hip seed, cranberry, black currant, camellia & plum to name a few.
