I'm 55, the older I get, the more gentle I am with my face. I don't exfoliate my face. I wash my face with wash cloth. I exfoliate my feet, knees, elbows with a scrub that a friend makes. She makes and sells natural body butters, lotions, scrubs and oils for skin and hair. I love her products but they are quite pricey. I only buy the body scrub and a mint hair oil that is devine.

I have never used anything harsh on my skin and I don't overdo anything...just keep it as simple and gentle as possible.
One of my favorite products was Principal Secret Avanced Gentle Enzyme Treatment which she has now replaced with Reclaim Age Braker Enzyme Mask and Peel...just as good.
I only use it about once every two weeks...It is very gentle to the skin...I'm a big fan of her skincare products!

I use a washcloth for the final rinse of every face cleanse and wiping the towel over my face is a form of exfoliation. As for products I use Philosophy's Micro-Delivery Wash every morning. Other products I use for exfoliation are Astara Masks (Violet Flame Enzyme and Blue Purification are my favs). In peels I like Peter Thomas Roth's Un-Wrinkle Peel Pads.

Olay Regenerist Microdermabrasion Kit. Red Box. Works just like the Philosophy 2 piece peel, at a less than half the cost.

One more question - one thing I love about the FDL is that it keeps its texture and doesn't "dissolve" (like Tatcha!) quickly, so I get a good, gentle "scrub" from it. Is the Eminence the same? That was the thing about Tatcha that bothered me. I felt like I started to scrub, and after about 1/3 of my face was done, it was just foam. Hope that makes sense!!Yes, the scrubby pieces remain until I'm ready to rinse.

You're very welcome, FUTURE. The Eminence is a bit more expensive that the FDL. If you aren't sure about making that investment, you can look on eBay for a sample of the Strawberry Rhubarb Dermafoliant. You'll get enough for a couple of tries so that should give you a good idea if you like it enough to buy the full size container.
