I am 62 years old and have been blessed with some pretty good genes as far as my skin is concerned. I've always maintained a simple but quality skincare regimen. Over the last 6 months, I have been noticing what look to be like blind pimples, particularly on the skin above and to the sides of my upper lip and sometimes on my chin. Occasionally, after I exfoliate, some will look reddened. After a while, the pimply look goes away, but a small bump remains.

What are these odd pimple/bumps?  And what can I do about them?

Perhaps you should  just see a doctor and get a medical opinion.

If they are just around the mouth, could be perioral dermatitis which should be treated by a dermatologist.  Don't try to get a diagnosis on this website.

@Quinny  If they have a white substance inside of them they are Milia.  Sometimes I will get one or two if I use a too rich moistuirzer.

@Quinny None of us can diagnose your medical condition.

Make an appointment with your doctor. Everyone's skin is different. Don't let this slide.

The older you get, the more weird bumps and abnormalities will appear on your face.

I got milia after shingles.  I thought that was quite enough, but had to have milia develop as well.
