Okay so after reading about how great the Wet Brush is I bought one back in January. I really love it. It's a wonderful detangler and it feels really good on my scalp!

Here it is August and my Wet Brush bristle tips are breaking off! arrrg. Then the bristles don't feel too good going across my scalp...they are sharp and scratchy.

So I did some reading and what I found out is that the Wet Brush is designed to last for only 6 monthsSmiley Indifferent....wwwhaaat?? really??!  Toss it in the trash and buy a new one. hmmm

I think I'll be looking for a better option. Anyone have a rec for a good detangling brush? TIAWoman Happy

I bought my wet brush from Hsn about 2 years ago and it still works great. I forgot to mention I have really long hair and I can brush right thru wet hair.

@Desertdi Same thing happened to me.I was surprised when the bristle tips broke off.  I had to toss the brushes that I had. I did cave and get another set from HSN when I had a 20% off code.

I have two Wet brushes I have had for two years and I haven't had any problems.

Maybe the one I got is a dud. I did love it so much and I want to get another but I hate wasting my money if the thing won't last.

@Desertdi

I own a comb like the one you pictured. It's my favorite comb!

@SilleeMee    I've had a couple of  those combs for probably over 30 years.   My favorite, too.    I can hardly  begin to describe my totally unmanagable hair.......It's coarse, like the teeth on a fine saw.....but not curly.......just WILD.

Good to have a review.  I have looked at them but was never convinced.  I do have a couple of kinds of wide toothed combs which have lasted for years.

I've been using Wetbrush for a couple years now.  I always buy when they have the bundle on sale on HSN.  For me hair brushes never last all that long so I like to keep a backup for when I decide my brush is worn out or too dirty with product buildup.

@Grouchomarx

I was looking at the ones on HSN. Prices are good but I need the kind they make with the rubber-grip handle and I didn't see one there.
