And I am soooo pleased.  Mainly with myself for finally making the leap, and my new haircut is fabulous too.  Nice short layers and fabulous style.  I've gone to the same barber/stylist since I was in my 20's (I'm 69 now).  She's gotten too fast and too lazy, in my opinion. Her shop is like a factory - hurry to get one in, get them cut, and move on to the next.  She zipped thru my haircuts and never paid attention to anything I wanted as far as shaping or style.  Made me angry but I put up with it as it got worse over time.

Anyway, very long story short..... I'm happy with me for breaking old habits and changing shops, and extremely happy with my haircut.  I keep going to the mirror to look at it! 

(oh, yeh, the new stylist is cheaper.  Win-win!)

Great, we all get stuck in ruts. It is difficult to get out, but you did it. Enjoy 😊 your new look and your ability to change!

I've done the same thing.....didn't always find my perfect new stylist on the first try.....but eventually found the perfect match for me.

Good for you, @tototwo! Sometimes we go to the same person for so long s/he takes us for granted, thinking we’ll never leave. It takes leaving to realize there are other talented hairdressers available. We just have to find the right one. I, too, made the change to a new hairdresser earlier this year & she is doing a GREAT job!  Glad it worked out for you!

Well, yah, I thought I'd have to try several stylists before I found a good haircut.  Glad I didn't -- but I'll tell you one thing, I'll never keep going to one stylist out of habit and feel guilty about leaving again.  One bad haircut, I'll forgive.  Two bad haircuts in a row, and I'm gone!
