Wen right after coloring

I would like to know whether or not I use the shampoo enclosed with my coloring product or if I can use Wen cleansing conditioner in lieu of the shampoo that comes in the box with the coloring product. It seems that the shampoo strips so much of that color. What does Chaz do right after he colors his clients hair? Thanks so much.
