I do a regular overnight oil treatment a few days before but after(that night) I do another overnight treatment, cleanse and then do a remoist overnight. The most important thing I do is take my oil to the salon and add a dropper to my color while my stylist is mixing it. I also take my cleanser and styling cream but I usually just come straight home.

What kind of color do you ladies have?

I go to an Aveda salon, and after my color my hair always looks shiny & healthy...they use Aveda shampoo & conditioner after the color.

I have a chestnut single process shade to color my gray roots.

Any brand of color does damage to your hair, that's the nature of color. It's just giving your hair added protection to do a little extra conditioning before and after color.

Right after my last at home coloring I used 613 CC instead of the conditioner included in the box. My hair turned out so silky, shiny and smooth.
