Freaking out now. No notice. My husband lost most of his hair, and I’ve lost about a third. Just kept getting worse. Thought it was our water softener. You can NOT BE SERIOUS.

@Venezia Apparently was not the only one unaware. QVC did not notify me (however, I stopped using WEN CC two years ago, probably why I was not sent a letter). I am rarely on the WEN forums, but glad I logged in today to see that some gals were compensated, however not a sufficient amount in my view.

there were 2 tiers of settlements. those who purchased wen and those who had allergic reactions or complications due to use. the second tier claimants had photos, doctors notes, and perhaps other information that they supplied to the lawyers. they will be getting up to $20,000 . the larger amounts are not going out until sometime in march.

I just wondered how they proved WEN caused the hair loss?

$25 is peanuts for hair loss. That is pitiful. ![]()

The $25 was the amount for anyone who had purchased WEN and claimed under the settlement. You didn't have to provide any proof of harm.
As has already been stated many times in many threads, larger amounts were set aside for anyone who provided medical proof that they suffered some form of harm and evidence of medical bills.
I, like some others, would love to know how it was determined that WEN caused the issues. We just don't seem to be hearing anything about that. Some hard and cold facts wouldn't go amiss.

@April of NY- In such extreme cases, I assume you went to a doctor and had the issue looked into? If you didn't and your hair continued to fall out...you can NOT BE SERIOUS. Really?

The class action included anyone who had purchased WEN between November 1, 2007 and September 19, 2016. I got multiple email and postcard notifications. If an official supplier sold you WEN between the included dates, you would have been sent something. It could have gone to a former address if you've moved since that time, or it went unnoticed at the email address associated with your purchase. The deadline to file a claim was April 28, 2017.

Thanks @WenGirl42 ... I did change internet providers therefore changed my email address; that is why I received no notification. The WEN shipments came to my home address and I have not moved in 30 years, so it is still a mystery.

@relaxer I think mine has, and I've also been taking daily a collagen powder mixed in juice (Andrew Lessman) and it's made a big difference in hair & nail growth just to name 2 it does for me.
Currently I use John Freida for blonde hightlights both shamppoo * cond. and really like these a lot. They really hold onto my color.
