I love foundation or cc cream. I am 57 and and have beautiful skin but I love foundation. I love the way it looks and how it protects my skin. I see so many who personally don't look so great as they get older because they were nothing but that is there choice which is ok. I choose foundation and will forever. I love it. By the way I use the it cosmetics cc cream and love this as I need spf everyday. I don't get why it would be good to not wear foundation.

The only days I go without foundation is when I'm wearing no makeup at all.  I think I look very, very odd with perfect eye makeup and uneven skin.

I wear foundation because my skin sucks and I need it! Seems everyone on this board is always saying how great their skin... "no wrinkles".... look "20 years younger than their age", etc. Well, I'm keeping it real, here!  I am 44 with slight melasma and there's never a moment in the month when I don't have a blemish somewhere on my skin or a dark spot recovering from a prior blemish, so I NEED foundation. And once I have it on, I feel like ME and I think I look better with foundation on, and honestly, so do most other women, whether you believe it or not.

@Pinkandblue  I could have written your post, LOL! My skin sucks!!! There is not a moment in the month that I don't have a belmish somewhere. And it is too distracting for people if I don't wear foundation. I want people to see me instead of my blemishes and discoloration.

Everyone here has wrinkles.  Anyone who tells you they don't, are either stretched to the max from cosmetic surgery or are lying.  I'm only 36 and I have had undereye lines for years.  I'm also starting to get the dreaded eleven between my eyes.

I rarely ever wear liquid foundation anymore. Concealer on a few spots then just a swipe over of powder then blush.

Many women as they get older say they feel less is more on an older face. This is a frequent subject of discussion at my sewing club.

Back in the day we wore traditional foundation because that is all we had. Now we have tons of options which is nice. We can all find something that suits our needs and wants.

I am over 50 and have been wearing tinted moisturizers or BB/CC creams as my foundation for several years. I also use a separate SPF moisturizer first. My makeup style has always been more minimal.  As I age I find I am less concerned about the fact that my skin isn't perfect so I find myself using less to cover up imperfections.

@Mellie32  Glad so see someone is calling b-s on all these people saying they are in their late 50's, 60's, even 70's saying they have "only very fine lines" and "no real wrinkles"......PULEEEEEZ!!  Unless they have Botox/filler injections or facelift, there is no way.  Can we say delusional or wishful thinking?! Anyone who claims that, please provide a picture! I'm in my mid 40's, and aging pretty dang good thanks to dear old mom's Colombian genes, but I'm now at that point where the forehead and 11's are starting to show.....nobody is immune to aging....some of us postpone it a few years thanks to genetics, but we it happens to us all! I, too, plan to fight it, but I sure won't deny it's happening! 😄😩😏😱💋
