Re: Watching the TSV presentation

[ Edited ]

Eve Pearl claims it is full coverage. She says that is why she puts it on the models and shows their before & after -- so we can see how well it conceals all their flaws.

Go to her discussion under Todays special values and read post #41.

Re: Watching the TSV presentation

Her last kit when back almost immediately.  I wanted to like it but I hated it.  The make up just sat on my skin,  and I used a very light hand,  also tried with water,  but the texture was terrible.  I hated the fan brush.  The worst was the lipstick in the last kit.  You could smell it from another room.   AWFUL.

Sadly I sent it back.

Yes, she calls it full coverage but her claims I found untrue. None of the kit was anything like her claims. I wasted money and threw it out.

She was just working fast. On that map insert they were showing that comes in the box, it shows where and what color side to put above your eyebrows, then swirl across your forehead.

Same for the chin and nose. It is on the chart.

It only takes once or twice to follow the map, but I personally just blended the 2 sides on the brush to do my forehead chin and nose.

Then you can just swirl the brush all around your face and you get coverage and blending.

Not sure why she is choosing to only show the cheeks?

The thing is - unless the presentation is better no one will buy the product to receive the instructions. The manner in which it is presented leaves a person who hasn't ever tried the product with a lot of questions. I'm not faulting the MU itself, but the PRESENTATION of the make up.

EP was definitely rushed last night, @151949. I thought Sandra did way too much talking and cut into her time. While I wanted to hear EP, Sandra was intent on telling her personal experience as soon as EP started.

When I watch a presentation and it is obvious they are lying - then I just turn it off. If you have to lie to sell it  - it's no good, either apply it to a clean face or admit the truth that she already has MU on.

I also think that the vendor has so much makeup on she will need to scrap it off with a spatula. I could see that without high def too.

So far I am not at all impressed with this product or vendor.

@151949, I got her last TSV. And, it is really one of the nicest foundations I've used. It is especially good for mature skin. The brushes also are very good. My kit had the concealer with it, and that's better than most concealers I have.

Mary the dark hair model looked lovely with it and so did the gray hair lady.

You would be surprised if you gave it a try. Smiley Happy

I threw it out in a week. I don't return used cosmetics but the formula was terrible for my skin and broke me out. The brushes were harsh and the blush was too pigmented.

It seems you either love it or don't like it at all. Her brushes were as good as any others I've gotten in a set.

I ordered her Repair Cream which sold out. I really rushed to get it when it got down to 500 and am eager to try it.

@Trinity11, you really should have returned it and since it broke your skin out, they would have paid the S&H. That's unusual since there are no parabens and all natural products.

I figure they could not resell it so it was my fault for trying it. Used cosmetics I always toss.

@febe1 all natural products have nothing to do with having a reaction or not. I work for a derm and we see more allergic reactions from "natural" products than we do for ANYTHING else. Most people also handle parabens just fine.

Re: Watching the TSV presentation

I  am just amazed that the owner of this company is OK with this kind of presentation of her product. I'm not judging if the product is good or bad. I'm just saying that the presentation is outrageous. The models look as though they already have their usual air brush foundation on along with contour and blush. Then she swipes some product over that and blends it in! She could not possibly cover a whole face doing that. She doesn't touch he nose, forehead, neck or around the mouth but she doesn't have to because the model already has her makeup on!

There is no way to judge the real coverage or how it acts on pores. Television has been using machines to spray on makeup for years. It's quicker and looks better in HD. Maybe this stuff is great for going on top of air brushed makeup but I can't imagine why unless it's for heavily scarred skin.

Not to mention the lame way they are telling you to apply it  just to your cheeks. Do you only put on foundation on your cheeks? Wouldn't you look silly walking around with no MU on the remainder of your face? If the MU is good or not certainly is not being demonstrated in this presentation.

I don't wear foundation, but I've seen makeup tutorials where they say to not apply all over the face, but only on the areas that need the attention: as in discoloration or other facial imperfections. (I don't know if this is EP's MO or not.)

Really, I could never understand why one does go around with a full facial mask! (If they are not doing a photo shoot!)

What is peculiar to me is that many "makeup artists" apply foundation to tone down redness in the cheeks, then after they camouflage that, they apply blush to the cheeks!

@Harpa I never understood this either!!!! So odd! For the most part, I don't really understand blush in generally. We don't naturally blush 24/7 so why do we want to look like we do?

Nothing odd about it.  Blotchy redness is not the same as blush over a clean and even complexion.

Re: Watching the TSV presentation

"Do you make this complaint after each makeup presentation or is Eve special?
Cuz the full face of makeup on models is a regular phenomenon regardless of vendor."

Yep, it makes me crazy when any of them do it. At least IT wipes off half the makeup first.
