The Epcot Food & Wine Festival will be going until November 10th. Be sure to check that out. Besides the usual great food at Epcot, there will be special booths featuring different countries or regions in the world. In addition, there are cooking demos, wine & beer tastings and special dining events. They even have an Eat to the Beat music series.

The Animal Kingdom Lodge is a great place to stay. We have stayed there twice. Your 5 year old will love the animals that you can see right from your room. The food there is fabulous. Get the Disney meal plan it is a great offer. Just book the restaurants before you arrive. You all will have a wonderful time.

Try Mousesavers.com they are also on FB. Sign up for their newsletter. Undercover Tourist had the best ticket deals. Book a character breakfast at the Tusker House in Animal Kingdom. I think we've been at least four times to that. We don't stay on sight so can't help you with that. We stay at the Windsor Hills since there are 7 of us.

I haven't been in a long time but I did Love it. My recommendation is if you are going on the Ak safari tour, go in the EARLY MORNING. That is when the animals are most active having just been let out for the day. Mid-day they are all relaxing. Later afternoon they are looking for dinner back at "the barns" where you can't see them. Plan on breaking up the day with a rest period for your little one, Disney can be overwhelming! The character breakfasts are fun too. If you have a bit of expendable cash they used to have pin kiosks around the place. I picked up pins of all the different lands and attractions we went to. Get a couple you won't mind parting with and you can trade them. They are a nice little memento of things that you did. Be careful though, they can add up. Have a wonderful time!

Congrats on booking your trip!!!
We went to WDW last April with our twin boys - they had just turned 5 and it was magical!
For tickets, I was able to get them through a work website called "Tickets at Work". We paid about $250/$275 per ticket and had Park Hoppers for 5 days - the price paid was close to what a 3-day hopper ticket from WDW would be. We also used the site to get tickets to Sea World & the San Diego zoo - never had any issues with them.
We did character meals at Tusker House (African Safari theme but had 'traditional' American food in Animal Kingdom) and Hollywood & Vine (Disney Junior Play & Dine in Disney Hollywood Studios - if your little one likes disney junior, i HIGHLY recommend this one!!). I did have a couple of more reservations but wound up cancelling them. You can do that up to the day before - it is pretty slick, likewise, if you want to call that day, there is a chance you can sneak in to a reservation. I wouldn't bank on that but it never hurts to try
We did the Pirate for a Day for the boys and it was great - the girls love the Bippity Boppity Boutique (there is one in Downtown Disney - no charge to get in to that section of Disney and i think the other was in Magic Kingdom).
Oh - when making reservations, you can do that 6 months out...people will wait until midnight of that day when they can book and just go crazy booking things. If you miss that date, like we did, you can still book stuff but may need to keep trying - don't give up, it's Disney! ![]()
We did full days at Animal Kingdom & Hollywood Studios... Epcot was a big bust, fun to go to the Nemo section but that was about it for my 5YOs. We hopped back to the Magical Kingdom. The rest of the time was at Magic Kingdom - my favorite park!
I'm sure there is more I'm missing but hopefully this is a bit helpful!!

LOVE Disney - go often - November is the perfect time - low crowds, nice weather, not too hot. I always plan our trip with adult kids and granddaughter end of Nov - just before all the holiday rush. disboards.com - is the Best Website - just check that out and you will have all the info you would ever need - will keep you busy reading until your trip. Even gives crowd levels each day and best park to visit on certain days, parades, show schedule for each park and lots of great info from other moms to plan the best trip.
Have Fun
