I use Wow to touch up my roots the last couple of weeks before getting my hair colored. I use light brown. I sometimes will also use the blond over it to draw in a fake highlight where it has grown out - kind of connecting the grown out highlight back to my part. It adds some brightness to the brown powder. I am a fan of the Wow product. I like that it doesn't leave a gunky feeling in your hair like some other root touch up products I have used.

I tried this in Blonde and what you can't see from the picture or the video is that it is very very shimmery. It is the first root touch-up powder I'd tried although I had seen the JR one in a different color. Not blonde.

The WOW one is really really light in Blonde. It was almost as light as my gray roots. It's a very light Blonde. Remember the little girl Cindy on the Brady Bunch? How light Blonde her hair was? That is the shade of Blonde it is. Very light. It was really lighter than I thought it would be. I needed a more golden color of blonde in addition to the fact that it was so shimmery! It looked like a shimmer wash eyeshadow from Bobbi Brown. I don't think it would work as a highlight. For highlights I would just use a regular highlight product.

I wish they would come out with a red shade.

OMGoodness, shimmery, very light blonde? Not for me, so regular highlights it is, for me.

Thank you!
