Today I was going out to lunch with DD.  In getting ready I decided to use an EM Cosmetics blush I hadn't used before - Venetian Rose.   When using a new blush, I always go in carefully and lightly.  Well let me tell you ladies, even going in carefully and lightly this powdered blush is pigmented!  It's a pretty rose - not bright but suble rose.  You sure don't need a lot that's for sure.  This will last me until I'm 90!  HAHA  Thank goodness I'd watched enough YT videos and read enough advice here on the board to know how to tone down a pigmented blush.  

Also for the first time I used the Huda Beauty Cool Matte Obsessions eyeshadow palette.  I love it!  It's an all matte palette.  The shades are so nice and go on and blend beautifully.  They are pigmented but not overly so - at least the ones I used.  I didn't have to worry about them being too dark or so soft that you have to keep adding layers of shadow.  Didn't notice any fall out either.  Got a very nice, neutral, easy, casual eye look out of it.  Have had it on about 5 hours and so far, so good.

@kate2357  - we went somewhere I'd never been and had the BEST roast beef sandwich.  I ended up purchasing a loaf of sourdough bread - you know this area is known for it's sourdough bread.  I've already had some.....  She was on her lunch hour from work so it was a quick, casual lunch.

@JudyL Your makeup sounds pretty. My Nomad eyeshadow and highlighter are all pigmented, so I have to apply those with a light hand. Sometimes it takes a couple tries to get it right. The result is worthwhile, though.

Hi, @JudyL !  I love reading your posts!  Based on one of them, I purchased the Huda Cool Obsessions eye palette.  I used it the first time today and I love it!  Great color payoff with no fallout.  Colors are wonderful and what I've been looking for for many months!  Thank you for the recommendation!

@JudyL  I'll have to try that blush brand- I love pigmented blushes.   Ooh your lunch sounds delicious! I love a good roastbeef sandwich .  I'm in San Francisco, born and raised here and we are known for our delicious sourdough- especially Boudin Bakery sourdough.  Do you have a name for the restaurant that you got the delicious sandwich from? I'd love to try it.

@SportyShorty07  - I live across the bay from San Francisco.  Worked in San Francisco for over 35 years and just retired this past February.  Worked in the Embarcaderos and used to go to Boudin's in 4EC all the time.  The restaurant we went to was in Alameda on the old Navy base.  Gads, can't remember the name now.  If I think of it, I will update this post.  If I remember correctly, DD said they also have a restaurant in Oakland.  Know that doesn't help much.
