WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN PHYSICAL VS. CHEMICAL SUNSCREEN?

Hi Ladies & Men (if men read this). I read on another beauty post they talked about physical sunscreen and chemical sunscreen. Can someone explain the difference between the two? How do you know if you are using physical sunscreen verses chemical sunscreen?

Which is better for you? Also, if one is suppose to be better, who has products that have that in them?

Almost all my lotions & BB Creams & some foundations of mine have some kind of SPF in it, and now I am wondering, what I am wearing and if it is breaking me out from time to time?
