So for the up side.. If/when Wen is found to be safe for use..
This will mean Wen is the ONLY hair care product to ever be investigated by the FDA and cleared as safe for use?
It seems it could turn out to be a big plus for the brand.
I'm looking forward to this being resolved.
No it is not.

I agree. I am not buying the story either. I have used Wen since he first came to QVC and still use it and nothing is wrong with my hair but it looking pretty darn good!
I have to question it myself. Has anyone considered that someone may have tampered with the Wen? Could they have mixed something like Nair hair remover in it? Not implying the Mother did it but maybe she didn't buy the Wen from a reputable place. Just a thought...
@Tribesters funny you should mention this. Awhile back there were alot of WEN being sold through Amazon and Ebay. I know that Amazon pulled alot of it because the WEN was determined to NOT be authentic and banned personal sales of WEN (meaning only the WEN company could sell it). The labels were not legitimate (fakes) and the formula smelled off and the consistency was not what it should be. Amazon sent out emails about it. It was a huge deal for awhile. It was determined they were fakes and God only knows what was actually in those bottles and how many were sold. I doubt it was cut with Nair but I did hear something about toothpaste and likely cheap shampoos and conditioners.
I don't know if Amazon allows WEN to be sold these days unless it is through the authorized WEN company and I still know Ebay sells WEN but I personally would never ever buy WEN from Ebay or Amazon (unless it is from the legitimate WEN company) as who knows what you are actually getting??! I also don't buy skincare through Ebay either for the same reasons. And it doesn't matter if the packages are sealed- anyone can seal and shrink wrap products with cheap machines. It means nothing.

I saw the piece, on the CBS Evening News Sunday night.
I, at first, also did not buy this story. But there are additional pictures of the little girl on the CBS Evening News website, and she looks to me like she shows evidence of allergies, around her eyes. She may be very sensitive. I know I was when I was her age (to Blue Waltz perfume).
I read some comments, too, that it isn't that there aren't other products that have the same potentially problematic ingredients as WEN, but that you are instructed to use so much of it, and leave some on.
I just recently began experiencing a sore throat when burning my favorite Yankee Candle scent, after burning these candles for years.
So an allergic reaction can hit you after long term exposure.
What I took from the CBS News is that the last laws made concerning ingredients in cosmetics go back to 1938, and perhaps it is time for an update.

The WEN lawsuit upsets me. I have used WEN for over 10 years and my 57 yr old hair is long, shiny, healthy, gorgeous and as my hairdresser says, I have "the best hair of all of his clients!" I am called the girl with the beautiful hair! WEN has kept my hair beautiful! My very experienced hairdresser who trained with all the best says there is nothing in WEN to cause hair loss!. If something doesn't agree with you stop using it. That is like putting on face cream and it breaks you out in a bad rash and you keep putting it on...how stupid are some people. Some people will do anything for a buc! SMH
