"This will suffocate hair follicles and your hair will start to fall out, I work with a Dr and we have had 4 women in the past 3 months all the same problem. Just FYI
So many times I have read posts from people complaining that the Q doesn't post negative reviews. Personally I have never found this to be true although I did have a review rejected once and I just rewrote it.
I was interested in purchasing the Cranberry Mint so was checking out the reviews and found the one above written by a person that had never reviewed anything previously and they had just joined the same day. A few reviews below this one was another from a new reviewer who had just joined the day they wrote the review who said they were losing quarter size clumps of hair with each use but did give the product 3 stars. Holy Moly, if I lost ONE quarter size clump of hair I would be horrified.
I have been using WEN for about 8 months and really never paid much attention to the random threads started by newbies until recently. Now I see the same thing in the reviews. I guess I don't get it. Why would someone go out of their way to post such foolishness? What do they get from it?

The sad thing is some people will read that and think it is ""scientific"" evidence.

So many of the reviews are useless, as they are posted by people who have never even purchased the product, let alone used it! I've noticed this across the board with QVC products.
I hate it when someone says "your" hair will fall out...they are telling me as a statement of fact that my hair will fall out. How do they know? Maybe their hair did--not every product works for every person--but that doesn't mean that mine will!
Just as an aside...I've been using Wen for about 3 months, and even though I don't use it for every cleanse yet, my hair is shedding MUCH less.

I would guess that these posters are likely new WEN users who were motivated to post reviews for the first time due to their negative experiences with the product. Why would you assume that a negative review of a product is "foolishness" or "useless", or that the review is not legitimate? Certainly not everyone complains of hair loss with WEN, but there have been many reviews and posts describing exactly such negative experiences for some users. Those experiences deserve to be heard just as much as the raves from satisfied users.
It is fine to be enthusiastic about a product. It is not fine to be mindlessly enthusiastic.
(Incidentally, I am not "hating" this product line or even commenting on the line itself. I am commenting on the apparent mindset of some WEN loyalists.)

QVC needs to overhaul their review system. The type of review LexPex isn't helpful to potential buyers. She obviously never used it, and just because she works for a doctor doesn't mean anything. It would be more helpful if QVC would only let allow people to review items who actually bought and used the item.
Then there are the reviews by people who review the product right after taking it out of the box, and comment how it looks or feels. That is not a very helpful review. Helpful reviews are ones made after someone has tried or worn the product for a little while, so we are not just getting first impressions.
It would also be helpful if reviewers gave details why they did or did not like the product, and not just say, "I love it" or "don't buy it". The reviewer's reason may or may not be pertinent to me, and that would make a difference on my choice.
HSN's review system won't let you review it for a few days or so after you receive it, so you give it a fair shot. I really appreciate that, so the reviews are not just first impressions.

Saying ""your hair will fall out"" is about as accurate as saying ""you will love it"". People assert what happened to them in every product.

I agree totally GoodStuff. I think some people feel strongly enough about their experience with the product that they feel compelled to write about it even when they are not a regular board user.
I did not review WEN after my experiences with it, first, because my issues with it were covered by other reviewers and second, because so many enthusiastic users were quite mean to those who didn't have a good experience and wrote about their negative experiences.
Some will like a product and some will not but the mindset of which you speak is off-putting.

Just report the review as inappropriate and in the space provided to offer an explanation type in that the reviewer has not purchased or used the product.

The second review that I posted for a Wen product on GR was tagged as a "Top 500 Reviewer."
Top 500? How?
I don't have much faith in reviews that I read. The vendors or distributors will post negative ones that are truly meaningless, like the one OP posted; and post every single positive review they get. The results are always skewed.

Well just because they are new does not mean they have not tried wen before and how do you they never purchased wen from qvc? i suspect they have for I once tried to post a review on something I never purchased and qvc denied it. People have the right to post negative reviews as well as those with the positive reviews
